Villa Bon è stata edificata nel ‘500, si distingue dalla maggior parte delle ville della Riviera perché si affaccia sul canale dal lato minore. L’intero complesso è ancora oggi, come in origine, circondato da un grande parco.

Le prime immagini iconografiche dell'edificio sono: il disegno realizzato dal Coronelli nel 1709 e la stampa realizzata dal Volkamer nel 1712.
La struttura subì più interventi di restauro, il primo nel corso del XVIII secolo durante il quale si cercò di valorizzare la facciata rivolta verso il fiume Brenta aggiungendo alcuni elementi decorativi, il secondo intervento venne effettuato nel corso del XIX secolo, quando la villa passò di proprietà alla famiglia Cappello. Durante il secondo intervento i lavori maggiori vennero realizzati all’interno: venne restaurato il salone centrale, in alcune sale furono realizzati degli stucchi in policromo, e degli affreschi attribuiti a Costantino Cedini; nello stesso periodo fu allungato l’edificio sul lato ovest con un fabbricato più basso.
Durante la prima guerra mondiale l’edificio ospitò militanti e venne utilizzato come ospedale, mentre durante la seconda guerra mondiale divenne un ricovero per sfollati.
Nuovi lavori di sistemazione vennero realizzati nella seconda metà del XX secolo.
Attualmente è un’abitazione di proprietà privata.

Villa Bon was built in the 1500s and stands out from most of the villas on the Riviera because it overlooks the canal from the shorter side. The entire complex is still today, as it was originally, surrounded by a large park.

The first iconographic images of the building are: the drawing made by Coronelli in 1709 and the print made by Volkamer in 1712.
The structure underwent several restoration interventions, the first during the eighteenth century during which an attempt was made to enhance the facade facing the Brenta river by adding some decorative elements, the second intervention was carried out during the nineteenth century, when the villa passed owned by the Cappello family. During the second intervention, the major works were carried out inside: the central hall was restored, in some rooms polychrome stuccos were made, and frescoes attributed to Costantino Cedini; in the same period the building on the west side was extended with a lower building.
During the First World War the building housed militants and was used as a hospital, while during the Second World War it became a shelter for displaced persons.
New refurbishment works were carried out in the second half of the 20th century.
It is currently a privately owned house.
